NoChaser is not medical care
NoChaser is a self-help and wellness tool. It is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or addiction treatment, and using it does not create a doctor–patient or therapist–client relationship. Nothing in the app — lessons, insights, reminders, or responses from the AI coach — constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Stopping alcohol suddenly can be dangerous
For people who drink heavily or have been drinking for a long time, stopping abruptly can cause serious, sometimes life-threatening withdrawal symptoms — including seizures and delirium tremens. Withdrawal risk is real and individual. Talk to a doctor before making major changes to your alcohol use, especially if you've experienced shakes, sweating, or anxiety when going without alcohol in the past. Medical supervision for withdrawal exists precisely because this is dangerous to do alone.
NoChaser cannot handle emergencies
The app — including the AI coach — is not monitored by clinicians and is not equipped to respond to emergencies or crises. If you are in crisis, experiencing withdrawal symptoms, or having thoughts of harming yourself, do not rely on the app: contact emergency services or the resources listed at the top of this page immediately.
About the AI coach
The AI coach generates supportive, informational responses. It is a software feature, not a counselor, and it can be wrong. Treat its responses as prompts for reflection — never as medical guidance.
